Rocker switch is also called marine switch, and its structure is the same as that of toggle switch. Because of the ship type button handle, it is called ship type switch. Rocker switches are commonly used in power switches of electronic equipment. Therefore, the use and selection of rocker switch should be judged according to its quality and characteristics. 1. Main parameters of rocker switch:

1). The standard rated working voltage and current of rocker switch are relatively small. It refers to the safe voltage and current allowed by the switch during normal operation. If the voltage is greater than the standard value, it will lead to ignition breakdown between two contacts, power failure and switch failure. If the current exceeds the rated current, the switch contact will burn out due to excessive current.


2). Contact resistance of rocker switch. It refers to the resistance between each pair of contacts when the switch is turned on. When the value is much smaller, than it's much better. The switch resistance is small, the power consumption is small, and it can also delay the use for a long time.

 

3). Insulation resistance of rocker switch. The resistance values of the conductor and insulation of the switch are very low. The number of times when the switch can be operated under normal working conditions, and the normal service life is about 5000-35000 times.

 

2. Precautions for rocker switches are as follows:

1). When you get the rocker switch, gently rotate the movable and fixed contacts with the switch with your finger, and drop absolute alcohol directly between the movable and fixed contacts here. At the same time, continuously rotate the rotating metal handle with the switch, and then rub the movable and fixed contacts with each other, so that the dirt and oxide layer can be removed and thoroughly cleaned. There is no bad contact, leading to no electricity.

 

2). Why do rocker switches use thick copper? The copper sheet inside is high in thickness, which is to improve the efficiency of current passing, that is, to ensure the effective operation of the switch. Although the response time of the switch is very short in actual use. Therefore, in the process of use, this kind of switch will not have the phenomenon of delayed start. Many mechanical switches take advantage of this feature.

 

3). The specific application of waterproof rocker switch is restricted by many factors, such as: installation mode, product installation direction, air flow, differential pressure acting on the product, fluid rebound strength, working voltage, etc. Even if the sealing technology of the arc waterproof marine switch with excellent sealing performance has reached the leading level, it does not mean that the switch is completely sealed, and it also needs to prevent the invasion of corrosive gases or substances.
